Mark

From our conservation at the CWCB hearing on the Silverthorne RICD, I got the
impression that DOW (and TU) are expecting Silverthorne to ramp up and
down its call each day to protect the fishery. Is this correct?

I am trying to make it clear that without Silverthorne ramping its call up and
down, there could be no ramping of the outflow from Dillon. Denver Water is
not agreeing to ramp up and down the outflow during the no call hours (8 pm
to 7 am). As I tried to explain at the hearing, that could cause further loss of
water supply. So, for example, if Silverthome keeps its 600 cfs call on until 8
pm (without ramping down the call), to limit our losses, Denver Water would
be forced at 8:01 pm to abruptly drop the flow to 50 cfs. Denver Water has
worked hard to try to enhance the fishery below Dillon Reservoir and I don't
want to see this happen to the fiShery.

I would like to discuss this you. Please see my email to Bill Linfield below for
the details of my concem.

Marc D, Waage

Manager of RawWater Supply

Denver Water <v...ww. denverwater, Orq)

303-628-6572

marc. waaqe@denverwater,orq

From: Waage, Marc D.
Sent: Friday, August 05,20055:32 PM
To: Unfield Bill (wlinfield@silverthome.org)
Subject: Ramping RICD Call
