Future agenda items. <br />a. Rachel Richards recommended that the CBRT discuss proposed Colorado Oil and Gas <br />Commission n~lemaking as it relates to water. <br />b. Ken Ransford recommended that the CBRT compile a list and quantify the acre feet of all <br />proposed eastern slope pumpbacks as well as water projected for energy development. <br />Ken Ransford reconunended that the CBRT discuss the proposed 2008 ballot initiative to amend <br />the Colorado Constitution being promoted by DiLorenzo and Hayes. The initiative is at <br />httu://www.state.co.us/~ov dir/le~ dir/lcsstaff/balua~e.htm. The initiative would establish a <br />priority system of water used for domestic, agricultural, and manufacturing purposes, and in <br />times of drought curtail first manufacturing and then agricultural use in order to preserve <br />domestic use. It would invalidate any laws or homeowner covenants that require water intensive <br />landscaping such as Kentucky bluegrass.
