The amount of water reserved is only tha~ amount <br /> <br />necessary to prevent frus~ration of the primary purposes of <br /> <br />the reservation. <br /> <br />In ~he application. the United States claims such quan- <br /> <br />tities of water as: <br /> <br />are or will become necessary to fulfill <br />the present purposes for which said <br />reservations were created. such pur- <br />poses. including. but not necessarily <br />limited to: waters for irrigation; <br />domestic and rural domes~ic uses; <br />municipal uses; mineral development <br />and other industrial uses; commercial <br />uses; recreational uses; livestock <br />and grazing and watering; flood. soil <br />and erosion control; municipal and <br />administrative site uses; agricultural <br />uses other ~han irrigation; forest man- <br />agement. improvement and protection; <br />conservation and management of resident <br />and migratory wildlife and wildlife <br />resources; the term wildlife and wild- <br />life ~esources includes birds. fish. <br />mammals. and all other classes of <br />wild animals and all types of aquatic <br />and land vegetation upon which wildlife <br />is dependent; preservation of scenic. <br />aesthetic and other public values; <br />fire fighting and prevention; road <br />watering; watershed protection and man- <br />agement; wilderness preservation; <br />ecosystem maintenance; fish culture; <br />propagation and conservation; fish. <br />wildlife and wildlife resource habitat <br />protection and management.
