During these days attempts we!re made <br />to treat as many seedable clouds as possible. The occurrenee of <br />seedable cells during periods of partial or limited restrictions <br />accounted for ten more seedable days; nine in August and one in <br />September. During these ten days clouds were selected for Heeding <br />only in those areas designated by the steering Committee as "areas <br />needing rainfall"; the remainder of the target was not utilized. <br />The partial restrictions of early August were then <br />followed by a complete suspension of all seeding operations. The <br />full-time restriction lasted about three weeks during which most of <br />the days were believed to be seedable. There were a total of thirteen <br />seedable days during complete shutdowns; two in July and the remain- <br />ing eleven in August. <br /> <br />32 <br />
