The water would be delivered <br /> <br />to the Sugar Loaf' Reservoir at elevation 9900. The 250 O.r.8 _ oanal would <br /> <br /> <br />be 7-1/2 miles in 1 ength oosthlg .2m.000. and the 500 o. f .8. oanal would be <br /> <br /> <br />1-1;'2 miles in length oosting .;280.000. <br /> <br />(2) Sugar Lae.t Reservoir enlargement would be built to anaotive <br /> <br /> <br />oapaoity of 105,000 aore-teet. The present oapaoity i8 11,000 aore-feet_ <br /> <br /> <br />Dead storage will amount to 12,000 acre-feet making the total oapaoi ty <br /> <br /> <br />111,000 aore-feet. This would require an expenditure of $2.315,000. <br /> <br />(3) The ilDJl\ed.iate needs for Pueblo would be diverted through the <br /> <br />Minnequa Canal to a"J1W"ifioation plant oonstruoted near Salt Creek at elevation <br /> <br />5045. A 4000 aor*f'oo't reseM'oir would be cmstruoted on Salt Creek to take <br /> <br /> <br />oare or outage.. in the Minnequ. Canal only. Tho water would be conveyed from <br /> <br />the direot flO'llf' in the Minnequa Ditch by two 32-inoh steel pipe lines to the <br /> <br /> <br />oi ty system to reaoh elevation of 4920 at full stand pipe _ The reservoir, known <br /> <br /> <br />as S.... Charles Reser'lOir #4. was originally surveyed by the Colorado Fuel and <br /> <br />Iron Corporation. <br /> <br /> <br />(4) The future supply would be furnished by a pipe 1 ine from <br /> <br />Graneros Reservoir on the potential tran.mountain oanal line_ This line would <br /> <br />run from Graneros Reservoir to the purifioation plant on Salt Creek bypassing the <br /> <br /> <br />small Reservoir St- Charle. il4~ The pipe line would leave Graneros Reservoir- <br /> <br /> <br />at 5810 and end at the purit'ioa'tion plant at elevation 5045. The distance ia <br /> <br />18 miles.' Consuming all or the raIl this line would be 38 inches in diameter. <br />
