This report covers the work perfornu!d under this contract bet:ween
November 1984 and September 1986. The tC)tal. funding for the proqram was
$1,182,800.

AS stated in the original proposal <iocument, dated Auqu,st 1984, the
work was planned under seven (7) sectionlil:

Section I. Research Aircraft Obsl!rvational and Meas\lLrement
Program;
Section II. Precipitation Chemistry and Stable Isotope Pro~rram;
Section III. Ground-Based Precipitiltion Microphysics E'rograJI1;
Section IV. Meteorological Data Collection and Analyds;
Section V. Air Mass Characterization Program;
Section VI. Remote Sensing Progr~n, (using a vertical-pointinq
Ka-band (0.86 em ~lvelenqth); and
Section VII. Management and Report:i.nq.

Durinq the second year of the contract, i!nd because of the Jrluch rE!duced
funding level available, the oriqinal Section I - Research ~J.rcraj:t Proqram
had to be eliminated and the Sections had to be renumbered aLS follows:

The Precipitation Chemistry alnd Stable Isotope PJ:~oqram
became a new Section I;
The Ka-Band Radar Proqram became Section II;
Sections III, IV and V remained the same, and
Manaqement and Reportinq be~De Section VI.

During the two-year period, technical reports were sublllitted for each
three months of the program, there beinq seven quarterly reports :Ln all
apart from this Pinal Report. Also, in accordance with the reporting
requirements, Minority Business Utilization Reports DI~192S were i;ubmitted
for each fiscal year.
