This right has district priority <br />No.3 and a priority date of 4-15-1888. <br /> <br />Location and Description of Facilities <br /> <br />The MLI facil ities are located northeast of Trinidadt Coloradot near <br />the communities of Hoehne and Model. These facilities are shown on map <br />SK-318 enclosed in the back folder of this report. The land irrigated <br />by the Model Ditch and the Johns Flood Ditch is all located on the north <br />side or the Purgatoire River. <br />The Model Intake Canal diverts water from the Purgatoire River about <br />five miles downstream from Trinidadt in the SWI/4, NW1/4t Section 33t <br />T32St R63W. A ten-foot Parshall flume near the headgate is used to measure <br />the quantity of water diverted into the canal. The Model Intake Canal <br />is 13.4 miles in length and terminates at the Model Reservoir. The Model <br />Intake Canal also intercepts water from the Chicosa and Lietensdorfer <br />arroyas and delivers this water to the Model Reservoir. In addition, <br />the Model Reservoir intercepts water from the Black Hills Arroya. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />....-- <br />
