This package will
create contour analyses and three-dimensional
drawings that will be very beneficial to the users.

A front-end computer will be installed sometime in
the fall of 1978. This will allow the Bureau Com-
puter System to handle 1,200 and 2,400 baud dial-up
terminals in an interactive mode.

The Bureau is also developing an objective
decision-tree forecast system. The data uSI~d to
develop these forecasts are being collected auto-
matically into a dynamic file for processinl~ at
the end of each field season. When completl~d,
these programs will be able to be run interactively'
by the meterologist, and print out on a tenlinal
the major parameters required to make the daily
weather forecast.

8.
