<br />.. . . . <br /> <br /> <br />the Bureau of Reclamation and those persons who think God put water in <br />lovely mountain streams for s orne purpose other than building tunnels, <br />dams and ditches; between the Bureau of Reclamation and the people who <br />live in the area which fur nishes the water. <br /> <br /> <br />If the figures on the foregoing analysis are not correct, there are <br />many able engineers who will be glad to correct them, including those who <br />made the figures. If the planned diversions, for 1,138,000 acre feet of <br />surplus water vvhich does not exist, proceed to construction, just which <br />and what water will be taken from Western Colorado's development? ' Will <br />they stop all irrigation development in the natural basin, which they <br />admit is about one-half completed, in order to raise more sugar beets on <br />the Eastern Slope prairies? Or will they take the water which will be <br />required to develop the United States Oil Shale Reserve and the world's <br />greatest coal resources?
