Watering Restrictions ./ <br /> <br />7.2 Qualitative Assessment <br /> <br />The following discussion provides a qualitative assessment of each of the measures/ <br />programs selected for further evaluation. <br /> <br />7.2.1 Landscape and Irrigation Efficiency for Parks <br />Established Parks <br />As discussed in Section 2.6, Erie's parks department has implemented a variety of <br />conservation measures to conserve irrigation water. These include the following: <br /> <br />. Improved soil preparation for plantings and grass establishment <br />. Using a cycle soak method to irrigate turf improving irrigation effectiveness and <br />efficiency <br />. Planting native vegetation and drought tolerant plants where appropriate <br />.
