A <br /> <br />ARKANSAS BASIN <br /> <br />Jun-Q1 <br /> <br />Basinwide Conditions Assessment . <br />The swsr value of 2.7 indicates that for May the <br />.basin water supplies were above normal. The Natural <br />Resources Conservation Service reports that June 1 <br />snowpack is 54% of normal. Flow at the gaging station <br />Arkansas River near Portland was 1 ,438 cfs, as compared to <br />the long-term average of 1,193 cfs. Storage in Turquoise, <br />Twin' Lakes, Pueblo, and John Martin reservoirs totaled <br />123% of normal as of the end of May. <br /> <br />Outlook <br />Dry conditions ~xist on many of the tributary areas in <br />the basin with only the most senior rights able to divert <br />water.
