Parks Statewide Response <br />• Education <br />- Pamphlets, signs, contacts with public <br />- Get public to DRAIN, CLEAN, DRY <br />• Sampling <br />- Substrate samples - about 10-15 per lake <br />- Checked every 2 weeks by staff or volunteers <br />• Inspections <br />- At Lake Pueblo implement very high level of <br />inspections/enforcement to minimize risk of spread <br />- At other higher risk parks, implement inspections, require <br />boats to show up clean and dry <br />- If anything is found, don't allow boat to launch, <br />clean/decontaminate boat <br />BOAT CLEANING <br />~ DRAIN the water from the boat, livewell and <br />the lower unit of the engine. ~~ <br />• INSPECT all exposed surfaces. <br />• REMOVE all plant and animal material <br />• CLEAN the hull of your boat. <br />• DRY the boat, fishing gear, and equipment. <br />• REPORT any mussels found to ANS hotline <br />
