The ewCB is a I 5~member Bow representing water intereSts from across die <br />SUte and includes a number of state officials including the Director of 1he ~t of NIdUral <br />Resources, the State Enginc:cr and the Attorney Gener-d. The ewes bas ~ long association wi1h <br />activities concerning the Colorado Rivet Compact and the "Law of1he River.It <br /> <br />In accordauce with Section 602(b) of Public Law 90-531. the ColoMo l:iver Basin Project <br />Act ("eRDP An). the Coordinated Long-Range Operating Criteria for Coloddcl River Resewoirs <br />("Operating Criteria") may be modified "as a result of aclU81 opeming expcrit1JCC or unforescm <br />circ:~tances...1O better achieve: the purposes specified in [Section 602(.) of the CRBPA]". As wiU <br />be explained in greater detail. the ewCB considered the need for a fonnal review of the "Operating <br />Criteria" at its March 21-22, 2002 meeting and does not believe there is any actUal operating <br />Flood ~ .
