Discussion
At the March 10 meeting, CWCB staff and the representatives of the Ri~~er District and the
Wilderness Society discussed the common goals of protecting stream flows in the Wilderness
Area while ensuring continued use of existing water rights and water facilities in the watershed,
and different approaches to achie~~ing those goals. Staff is enthusiastic about pursuing this
opportunity to successfully use the State's Instream Flow and Natural Lake Le~~el Program to
achie~~e federal stream flow protection goals in the context of Wilderness Area designations, and
will keep the Board updated on this matter.
