Re: Support of the Colorado WaterWise Council Grant Application
The Colorado WaterWise Council's {CWWC) mission is to promote the efficient use of Colorado's water. In
performing our mission, we fully embrace and support the importance of water conservation, water use
efficiency and wise water use throughout Colorado.
Our organization applauds the CWCB for developing, maintaining and administrating its water conservation
and water efficiency grant programs, and we will continue to show our support for these important state
programs into the future. Additionally, we recognize the importance of communications and technical
assistance in helping to promote and support more meaningful water conservation statewide, which is the
underlying goal of the CWCB grant programs.
The CWWC is absolutely committed to utilizing the proposed Executive Director position to move water
conservation to the next level throughout Colorado. We strongly encourage the CWCB and the Office of Water
Conservation and Drought Planning to consider the merits of the CWWC grant application and award the
requested funds to this worthwhile and important program that will benefit water managers, basin roundtable
members and water conservation experts statewide.
