The Project WE"t coordinator works closely with our Project
WILD staff and we hope to continue sharing resources and staff in our joint efforts to educate Colorado school
children through teacher training workshops about our state's nahrral resources. We provide joint trainings for
our shared network of facilitators and maintain a database of educators that participate in the training. Our six
regional education coordinators provide local support for Project WET workshop giving assistance with logistics
and materials distribution.
In order to insure that the highest quality water education information, training, and materials reach teachers, we
recommend that you continue to fund the Colorado Watershed Network's Project WE"T Program. We commit to
providing over $40,000 in matching funds and in-kind match for Facilitator Conference coordination, tracking
participants and programs through our database, regional assistance for workshops and training from our regional
education coordinators, and a forum to advertise workshops and provided information through our Colorado
Connections newsletter.
In this past year it has been invigorating to our Project WILD program to have a strong partner capable of sharing
in the expenses and hard work that goes into a successful outreach program. We look forward to continue the
good work that the two programs are accomplishing together.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A.
