Consent Agenda Item l.h Case No. 4-07CW203: Application of Skyland Metropolitan District Application Summary This is an application for ground water rights, appro~~al of a plan for augmentation and exchange in Gunnison County south of Crested Butte. The Applicant seeks the following: 1. Conditional ground water rights for fi~~e wells, Skyland East River Well Nos. 1-5, for 466 acre feet per year with an appropriation date of March 31, 2005 for augmentation, replacement, exchange and storage, as well as domestic, household, mechanical, commercial, manufacturing, industrial, generation of power, fire protection, street sprinkling, watering of parks, lawns, trees, gardens, golf courses and other grounds, the maintaining of adequate municipal reser~~es, and the adjustment and regulation of water in and bet~-een the ~~arious units and features of the Skyland district's water system. The water will be used within the boundaries of the Skyland district, as such boundaries may be expanded in the future within Gunnison County. 2. Appropriative right of exchange, "Skyland Pumpback Exchange," of East Ri~~er Treatment Plant effluent (foreign to this reach of the East Ri~~er) via wells with an appropriation date of March 31, 2005 for the same uses as the wells. 3. Appro~~al of a plan for augmentation to pro~~ide replacement water for out of priority depletions for the new groundwater rights. The sources of augmentation include Lake Grant Enlargement with an appropriation date of Sept 21, 1992, and the foreign water treatment plan effluent. Other Objectors William J. Lacy, Jr, Lacy & Dow, LLC and Verzuh Ranch, Inc. also filed a Statement of Opposition to this application.
