From 2020 through 2045, population estimates are based on a <br />three percent annual increase. The population of the seven cities is estimated to be <br />approximately 137,995 in the year 2000 and 483,337 in the year 2045. By 2045 the total <br />population in the study area is forecast to reach approximately 571,487. Most of this growth is <br />expected to occur in Brawley, Calexico, and EI Centro.
