This <br />produced a slight increase in the percent of average snowpack totals from last month. The basin <br />is now reporting a snowpack of 77% of average, Although below average, this year's snowpack <br />remains at 17% abovc that mcasurcd last year at this timc. Prccipitation, as a perccnt of averagc, <br />was thc highcst recorded for the 2004 watcr ycar at 146% ofaveragc. This hclped the basin <br />recover from the dry March, leaving thc basin's watcr ycar tolals at 92% of average. Rcscrvoir <br />storagc, as a perecnt of average, is the highest in thc state at III % of average and is 35% above <br />last year's volumes for May I. Runoff prospccts arc the poorcst along Tomichi Creck, wherc <br />volumes at Gunnison havc dipped to 49% of average, Meanwhilc, thc highest forecasts occur <br />along the Uncompahgre River where the expcctcd inOow into Ridgcway Reservoir is 83% of <br />avcrage. <br />
