Such an "undertaking requires a significant investment of time and expertise, as
well as good coordination of resources and staff.

Based on the involvement of many municipal water conservation experts in the Colorado Water Wise
Council and the inclusion of many other knowledgeable individuals, the Colorado Municipal League
believes that CWWC is in the best position to study and assemble best management practices and
consistent metries to measure the success of conservation programs. Support from the CWCB in the
form of awarding the CWWC grant request will allow that process to go forward4 We pledge CML' s
participation and cooperation with the CWWC in order to maximize the distribution and publicity of
the best managementpractioes, as well as working to help coordinate the effort to implement
programs, measure results, and share successes within the municipal family.

We urge your support of the request made by the Colorado Water Wise Council and encourage the
Colorado Water Conservation Board to fully fund the request

Best regards,

U

teven G.
