The Northern
Colorado Water Conservancy District (NorthemWater) believes that CWWC will be
instrumental in the coordination and implementation of water conservation efforts in Colorado,
and is also a key partner for the Colorado Water Conservation Board in the fulfillment of its
water conservation mission.

As a volunteer-based organization, CWWC needs dedicated staff to carry out its mission and
valuable programs such. as the development of Best Management Practices, the promotion of
Xeriscape, and its outreach program. The Executive Director position will make the development
of nlembership value possible, which in turn will provide a source of sustainable funding for the
organization.

Northern Water is an active member of CWWC and is also represented on CWWC's Board.
Northern Water also has a representative on th,e membership committee an,d as suc'h will provide
in-kind contributions to the grant at the level of 4ho'urs per months at a rate of $401hr. Over the
two-year period covered, by the grant, this represents $3,840 of in-kind contributions.

CWWC is an integral component ofNorthenl Water's water conservation program. We believe
that w~ater conservation efforts will only succeed through regional collaboration, exchange of
information, sllaring of successes in the implementation of water conservation programs, and
promotion of a unified water conservation message-all of which are facilitated by CWWC's
acti vi ti e s ~

For all these reasons, Northern Water strongly encourages the, Colorado Water Conservation
Board to approve CWWC's graI1t application.

Sincerely,

~~

Alan Berryman
Assistant General Manager - Engineering Division

eps
