P A WSD
provides 2,221 acre-feet/year to approximately 7,,000 single-family equivalent units which represents
an estimated population of 10,600. The population includes a very significant transient population
of water and wastewater customers that utilize PAWSD services as they visit the area as tourists
and/or property o\vners who reside on a part-time basis. PA WSD provides both treated and raw
water. Although P A WSD maintains a reliable water supply, continued development in this service
area is expected to occur. P A WSD realizes the importance of water conservation; they plan for a
10% reduction in water use by 2020. In addition, the Water Conservation Plan will also allow
P A WSD to receive construction fund loan proceeds under the contract being negotiated between
CWCB and "P A.WS"D. The application is attached for your review.

The applicant is requesting $25,150 to aid in developing a Water Conservatio'n Plan that meets the
requirements outlined in SB 07-008.
