<br />NE Quadrant Provider Profile <br /> <br />Provider: South Adams County Water and Sanitation District <br /> <br />Service Area: The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (the District) <br />provides water supply and wastewater services for Commerce City. <br /> <br />Existing Demand: The District currently serves approximately 15,000 people. The <br />District's existing water demands total about 5,500 AF/yr. <br /> <br />Future Demand: For the year 2010 the water demand within the District is projected to <br />be 14,600 AF/yr. At ultimate development the District's water demand is currently <br />projected to be 19,200 AF/yr. <br /> <br />Existing Storage Facilities: <br /> <br />Duck Lake (derivative interest) <br /> <br />Wellington Res. The District's nontributary wells <br />can provide water at a combined rate of 2.93 cfs. <br /> <br />Reusable Water Sources: <br /> <br />The District's reusable water supply is realized from its deep nontributary wells and its <br />changed irrigation rights in the Duggan Ditch and the BurlingtonlWellington companies. <br />The District uses these sources to augment its tributary well diversion via the Ford <br />Recharge Pit. <br /> <br />Interactions with Others: <br /> <br />The District is currently negotiating a 4,000 AF treated water delivery contract from <br />Denver Water. The District currently leases its excess reuse credits to Thornton. <br /> <br />8 <br />
