These well have <br />very junior priorities and Thornton augments these wells with a variety of augmentation <br />supplies. Thornton also own 6 nontributary wells, which have not been used recently <br />due to relatively low yield and high costs. <br /> <br />Reusable Water Supplies: Thornton currently uses approximately 50% of its reusable <br />return flows for exchanges, augmentation, and irrigation uses. Thornton plans to increase <br />its use of reusable water for exchanges and augmentation purposes. In the near future <br />Thornton plans to acquire several storage pits downstream of the Burlington Headgate to <br />be used as a substitute supply for water obtained from its Northern Project. <br />
