I
I
I

I

Park to seek out these ideal hydraulics for recreational paddling. Additionally, it is at these
flows that rafters and rafting companies will experience peak excitement and peak attraction
and marketing potential due to the features that are visually exciting and dynamic. Lower
Structures will continue to provide the usage that was seen at earlier flows.

I

The flows for July are in-line with the declining late season river flows and provide for the
late-summer boating experiences including rafting, slalom and freestyle skill development
and training, inflatable traffic and late-season recreational boaters. At this flow the river sees
significant usage due to the warm weather. At these Hows the features created in the park
will be less powerful and defined and will provide less variety for users but will still provide
for play-boating and recreational usage. The features will still be well-defined enough to
allow for a variety of freestyle maneuvers. Lower stmctures will continue to provide for
alternative boating experiences.

I
I
I
I

I
I

August flows provide for late season usage including inner tube/ducky traffic, instructional,
practicing and training kayakers and some rafting. At these flows the stmctures will be
passable and will provide for inflatable traffic, late season rafting, and instructional and
recreational boating. Training athletes will continue to use the boating park but flows of this
level will not create hydraulics with the same power, definition, or variety seen at higher
flows.

I

I
I
I
I

September through December users and uses are similar to January-March usage.

Flows are currently sought from 8 in the morning until 8 at night with some exceptions for
competitive events. This time frame was selected because it allows for most usage and is
easily administered.

I
I
I

(j.lry \1. I 'll:Y.
