Provide a brief description of your organization below: see "Description of Applicant" in Part 2 of Criteria <br />and Guidance for required information. <br /> <br />From the bylaws regarding scope and mission: <br />The East Grand Water Quality Board (EGWQB) is concerned with the entire Fraser River Basin, including the <br />Fraser River and all its tributaries. The Mission of the EGWQB is to protect, restore, and monitor the headwaters of <br />the Colorado River in the Fraser River watershed. The EGWQB is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and <br />educational purposes. The Objectives of the EGWQB are: <br />1. Function as a water quality management agency as designated in the NWCCOG water quality plan under <br />section 208 of the Clean Water Act. <br />2. Participate in studies of the hydrology of the Upper Fraser Basin and water storage possibilities therein. <br />3. Address and monitor Minimum Stream Flow concerns and objectives. <br />4. Develop and maintain a liaison with Denver Water Department in areas of land use and water supply. <br />s. Select and establish relationships with legal and engineering consultants to assist with water rights, water <br />quality and infrastructure planning. <br />6. Develop and confmn acceptable water quality standards with the Colorado Department of Health. <br />7. Administer cooperative water quality monitoring and testing and voluntary exchange of information to <br /> <br />2 <br />
