See Part 3 of Criteria and Guidelines. <br />The Arkansas Headwaters Diversion Structure Impr ovement Project will seek to match grant dollars <br />requested from Arkansas Basin funds through in-ki nd contributions from the Arkansas Headwaters <br />Recreation Area staff and the direct expenditure of funds by the Homestake Water Project (Colorado <br />Springs Utilities and the City of Aurora ) to provide engineering studies to evaluate and re-design four water <br />diversion structures, the Granite Water Diversion Stru cture, the Helena Water Diversion Structure, the <br />Hydraulic Water Diversion Structure and the Oil Cr eek Water Diversion Structure. The goal of the <br />engineering studies will be to improve the water delivery efficiency of each of the water diversion structures <br />at all water levels while improving boater safety, fisheries management and the recreational experience <br />of visitors to the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area. <br />5 <br />
