The success of the 1991 Field Program was due in

large part to the leadership of Dr. Arlin Super of the Bureau of Reclamation as

lead scientist and Mr. Clark Ogden of the Utah Division of Water Resources as the

field operations director.

The author would like to thank the staff at DRI who made possible the new

and interesting experiments with the radiometer operated in a mobile mode. Dick

Smith, John Cooper and Dave Nielsen made the necessary modifications to the

radiometer and Dick Smith made the initial field tests. It was a pleasure to

work with John Cooper who safely drove the radiometer during storms on the

Wasatch Plateau when visibility and road conditions were at times very poor.

v
