Shoveling front face of the profiler <br /> <br />The profile was then removed from the snowpack by sho- <br />veling the snow away from the sides and bottom of the pro- <br />filer with the clean scoop. The profiler was then resealed <br />in a polyethylene bag (Figure 9) and transported back to the <br />staging area. The samples were then removed from the pro- <br />filer and sealed in previously-labeled bags and kept frozen <br />until analyzed. Samples are kept in the frozen state to <br />minimize possible silver losses by adsorption onto sample <br />container walls. <br />
