<br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />SAMPLING TECHNIQUE <br /> <br />Prior to each outing the acrylic snow profilers were <br />cleaned by a series of washings in mild detergent solutions, <br />followed by triple rinses in doubly-distilled, deionized <br />wateJ:. The profilers and all related equipment were then <br />sealed in polyethylene bags for shipment to the sampling <br />sites. After arrival in Beaver, a staging area was <br />established, approximately 17 miles east of Beaver on <br />Highway 21, just below Merchant Creek.
