COleJlBJ1, Staff <br />Assistant, 'Watershed Management Staff, Region 5, U.S. Forest Service. <br /> <br />Geoff Coleman's early perception of the prospective benefits of pre- <br /> <br /> <br />cipitat~on management research to society was a key factor in develop- <br /> <br /> <br />ment of the cooperative agreement between the Forest Service and the <br /> <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation for the Sierra Cooperative Pilot Proj ect . His <br /> <br /> <br />counsel and assistance were highly valued during the early planning <br /> <br /> <br />and design phases of the project. His enthusiasm and common sense <br /> <br /> <br />strengthened the program. Geoff Coleuati's death, June 25, 1976, leaves <br /> <br /> <br />a legacy of his aspirations for betterment of the physical and social <br /> <br />environment.
