I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

to determine the extent of the ice crystal plume downwind of the
target area.

The valley between the release and the target ridges (under the
valley track) is often cloud-free during portions of storms while
clouds obscure both ridges. In such situations it would be
highly desirable to fly much closer to the ground than the 8300
ft IFR minimum. This will be at the descretion of the pilots.

Based on early research flights it may be necessary to modify
these flight procedures described above. Any modifications will
be thoroughly discussed with the pilots prior to implementation.

37
