We, P.ll. <br />Director, CWCB <br /> <br />Mr. Rodger Gallegos <br />Ortiz Ditch Company <br />9950 State Highway 15 <br />La Jara, CO 81140 <br /> <br />RE: Rehabilitation of the Diversion Dam <br />Initial Loan Approval <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Gallegos, <br /> <br />Concerning your application for a loan from the Construction Fund, I am pleased to inform you <br />that the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) has granted initial approval of your <br />request in the amount of $15,000 for the construction project. It is our understanding that <br />these funds will be used to refinance the cost of rehabilitation of the Ortiz Ditch Diversion Dam <br />on the Alamosa River. <br /> <br />The CWCB also approved a loan term of 10 years at an interest rate of 3.5%. I have attached <br />a copy of the updated Board memo concerning the Ortiz Ditch. Please refer to page 3 of that <br />memo and to the section "Action Taken by the CWCB, January 25, 1995". Your Construction <br />loan will be considered by the State General Assembly as part of the 1995 Construction Fund <br />Bill, with passage expected in May 1995. Funds will be available about July L 1995. <br /> <br />The Board has given their initial approval subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. The CWCB loan may be used to payoff(refinance) qualifying proiect costs which you <br />have incurred to rehabilitate your diversion dam on the Alamosa River. <br />
