ANDERSON <br /> <br />Faculty Affiliate <br />Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics <br />Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO 80523-1372 <br />Work #970-491-5635/FAX #970-491-5635 (same) <br />E-mail: r1anders@lamar.colostate.edu <br /> <br />Summary of Experience and Qualifications <br /> <br />Dr. Anderson is Resource Economist and Professor Affiliate, Department of Agricultural and <br />Natural Resource Economics, Colorado State University. His professional specializations are in <br />natural resource economics, water and land use and agricultural economics. He is the author of <br />more than sixty publications dealing with various aspects of irrigation water use and land <br />resources, and is co-author with Arthur Maass, Harvard University, of a landmark publication on <br />irrigation organizations in the western United States. He has recently worked as a consultant <br />internationally for the People's Republic of China and the Centre for Water Policy Research in <br />Australia. He has also acted as a consultant for the Colorado Water Control Commission, the <br />Colorado Water Development Authority, the Wheatland Irrigation District in Wyoming, and with <br />the engineering firm of CH2M Hill. He is past Associate Editor of the Water Resources Bulletin, <br />American Water Works Association. It is necessary that the research effort have the services of <br />Dr. Anderson for three important reasons: 1) his familiarity with the general water culture of the <br />western United States and the personal contacts he can bring to facilitate entry into the regional <br />water community; 2) his particular background in researching the financial aspects of water <br />organizations, and; his overall knowledge of agriculture and its bearing on the performance and <br />traditional goals of canal companies. <br /> <br />18 <br />
