<br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />CONSTRUCTION FUND LOAN ApPLICATION <br /> <br />This application is being submitted to the Colorado Water Conservation Board on behalf of the <br />following parties for a one-year grant to study more efficient and effective ways of utilizing non- <br />potable pressurized water systems for landscaping in unincorporated and incorporated areas, <br />thereby relieving strain on current regional potable water supplies and treatment costs, and <br />accomplishing this through joint cooperation of ditch companies, rural domestic water purveyors, . <br />municipalities, developers imd homeowners. Two ditch companies are consenting to. pilot dual <br />system feasibility analysis through the study. A full study description follows this application form, <br />including detailed discussion of study justification and deliverables: <br /> <br />Colorado Institute for Irrigation Management, Colorado State University (applicant) <br />New Cache La Poudre Irrigating Company, Lucerne, CO (study team member) <br />Highland Ditch Company, Longmont, CO (study team member) <br />Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District (matching fund contributor) <br />Soldier Canyon Filter Plant, Ft. Collins CO (matching fund contributor) <br />St. Vrain and Left Hand Conservancy District, Longmont CO (matching fund contributor) <br />Weld County, Colorado (endorsement) <br /> <br />The attached proposal is supported by these entities due to their concerns about recent installations <br />of non-potable water supplies for new subdivisions in northeastern Colorado, concerns about the <br />long-term sustainability of such systems, and the need to learn more from important experience <br />with dual systems in other areas of Colorado (particularly in Montrose, Delta and Mesa Counties) <br />and the Rocky Mountain region (Utah, Idaho). <br /> <br />Part A. - Description of the Applicant <br />1.
