Figure 4.3 depicts population growth in the Town ofPaonia, and <br />in Delta County as a whole, from 1950 to 1997. Figure 4.3 shows that, while Paonia population <br />changes have been more volatile than County population changes as a whole, population growth <br />in the two areas has followed a very similar trend. Over the 27 years since 1970, the average <br />annual population growth rate in the Town ofPaonia has been 1.5 percent per year.
