Corps efforts. Tom commented that Harris Sherman has hired a full time public relations
specialist and legislative liaison (Heidi) that we'll want to work with.

Tom commented on the seismic study. Funding source and course of action are still
issues to be resolved.

Rick McLoud asked if there will be any contract modifications. Tom said he doesn't
believe there will any hold ups in the near future, and any contract modifications will be
worked out between Tetra Tech and the Corps.

Rick suggested that the water users meet in two weeks and have comments ready on the
EIS draft chapters that have been released thus far. Ronda commented that we need
another format to organize our comments; she said maybe someone should review it and
redline suggested changes. Rick said that Deb Freeman will step in in the next two
weeks and will help organize comments and review. Steve Witter asked when other
chapters will be done. Rick said he has been told that other chapters should be ready
within a month but he is sceptical. Tom emphasized that CWCB has to be OK with the
draft EIS before it goes back to the Corps. If this takes time, CWCB is OK with this.
However, he knows others won't be. We have to reach a common position on this.
