The project has successfully passed the Larimer County Location and Extent Process. The
Colorado State Engineer's Office is currently reviewing the final design drawings, however no issues
are expected. The pump station will need to be approved by Larimer County, however no issues are
expected with this process either.
LTWD plans to cover the costs of the project using the CWCB loans and by raising water
rates and through income for tap fees. The CWCWD plans to cover the costs of the project though
cash reserves, and if necessary, raise water rates or utilize a revenue bond. The total cost of the
project for on an acre-foot basis, is approximately $2,440 without interest from the CWCB loans and
about $3,335 including interest for LTWD and $3,360 including interest for CWCWD. The cost
with or without interest is relatively inexpensive compared to other storage options available.

Dry Creek Reservoir Project

28

SaYLE
