SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />This subsection was added to address additional questions by the CWCB regarding the amount <br />of funds requested under Contract # 1. <br /> <br />Contract #1 expenditures include the purchase of 1,500 MVIC Class B Shares and construction <br />of delivery facilities to serve 440 acres in the Sandstone West area. No part of the Pleasant View <br />East and Yellow Jacket East irrigated areas were included in Contract #1 due to delays in <br />development of the irrigated areas which involved: <br /> <br />~ The DISTRICT Board delayed construction of WETPACK irrigation facilities from late <br />2002 through 2003 due to the drought conditions following 2002. McPhee Rese:rvoir was <br />empty after 2002 resulting in the Board being cautious in expending additional funds for <br />new irrigation. The Board decided in early 2004 to proceed with WETPACK <br />construction. <br /> <br />~ The cost of pipe increased approximately 40% in the first 4 months of 2004 requiring that <br />the Yellow Jacket East and Pleasant View East lands be reconfigured which delayed <br />construction. <br /> <br />~ The Sandstone West facilities could not be constructed by DWCD staff as planned <br />because of other staff commitments. These facilities were bid which required ;additional <br />time. <br /> <br />24 <br />
