The Districts have, at this time, opted not to allow public use on the reservoir. Additional
property owners will be displaced as a result of the larger reservoir.
The dam, reservoir, and associated structures will impact approximately 350 acres of
relatively unused, sparsely vegetated, pasturelands.
Seepage through the dam and foundation is expected to be minimal due to the low-
permeability characteristics of the materials. Embankment seepage will be collected by toe drains
and discharged into the intermittent tributary to Dry Creek, which the dam is located on. This may
result in more consistent flows over time in both the tributary and Dry Creek, however the flows will
be minimal. The dam will also provide some attenuation of any flood events in the basin. This will
reduce the flows and impacts on the tributary and Dry Creek.

Dry Creek Reservoir Project

30

BOVLE
