Of the 375 housing units in Frederick in 1990, 90% of them were occupied. Of those occupied, about
two-thirds were owner occupied and one-third were rented out. These percentages are comparable to
Weld County figures (see above chart). Owner-occupied units averaged 2.77 people. The number of

are factored in to rent payments, median rent payments rise to $504 and $357 for Frederick and Weld
County, respectively. These figures suggest that Frederick residents are spending an average of $78
more per month on utilities.

Approximately 31 % of Frederick residents spend less than 20 % of their income on rent and utility
payments; around 30% spend between 20% and 34%; and about 39% spend over 34% of their income
on rental expenses.
