Attachment A

[Part A No.4] Johnson & Edwards Ditch Company water supply consists of diversions
from the South Platte River under priorities 5 (15 cfs meadow right) and 29 (48 cfs
irrigation diversion right). Diversion is made from the river in the SW/4 of Sec 24, 5N
55W of the 6th PM. Since reaching an agreement with the Prewitt Reservoir in 1912, the
Johnson & Edwards and Prewitt have had a common diversion structure and share the
upper reach of the Johnson & Edwards delivery system. At a point of bifurcation in the
NE comer of the SE/4 of Sec 18, 5N 54W, Johnson & Edwards water leaves the shared
canal reach.

The Johnson & Edwards canal proceeds through Secs 17, 16,15,10 and 3 (a1l5N 54W)
with it's terminus approximately on the NE/4 NE/4 Sec 10 - SE/4 SE/4 Sec 3 line. In
addition to serving lands in the sections through wl1ich this reach is routed, laterals from
both the shared reach and the exclusively Johnson & Edwards reach have delivered
water to farmlands in Secs 24, 13 and 18 (5N 55W) and Secs 4 and 9 (5N 54W). The
path of the shared and exclusive reaches of the main canal are overlaid on the aerial
photo below.

Twp~ 5N R 54V & 5N 55V of 6th PM

Pr~po.rlld by T 0I'l (ill 4/5/03

Each of the Johnson & Edwards shareholder own~ a groundwater well as a
supplemental source of irrigation water.
