The pump plant
was built in the mid 1960's, and is located 2 miles east of the Town of Silt. It has a capacity of 36
CFS, and delivers an average of 4,000 acre-feet per year. The pump plant transformer must be
replaced due to an upgrade of the transmission line by Xcel Energy. Western Area Power
Administration will design the project in 2003, and construction will be completed in 2004. The District
has completed the feasibility study using information from the preliminary design. Proposed funding
for the project consists of a $486,000 Small Project Loan and a $5,000 Feasibility Study Grant from
the CWCB, a $15,000 planning grant from the Bureau of Reclamation, and the remainder from the
District.

Location Map

5
