<br />. . <br /> <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING OPERATION OF <br />THE SILT PROJECT <br /> <br />The Silt Water Conservancy District was organized October 7, 1957, as the agency to <br /> <br />contract for the construction and operation of the Silt Projeet located in Garfield <br /> <br /> <br />County. The District is governed by a board of directors appointed by the District <br /> <br /> <br />Court, which board in turn hires a manager to carry out the operation of the Project, <br /> <br /> <br />including the del ivery of the water made available by the Project to the water users <br /> <br /> <br />entitled to its benefits. <br /> <br />Project water is distributed according to allotments based upon the number of acres <br /> <br /> <br />'upable of being irrigated and farmed by the various water users. Pa~nent for the <br /> <br /> <br />water is made by the users to the District, which is obligated to repay to the <br /> <br /> <br />United States a portion of the construction cost of the Project as well as pay for <br /> <br /> <br />the annual operation and maintenance of the Project. <br /> <br />The following rules and regulations were adopted by the District board of directors <br /> <br /> <br />on to govern the operation of the Project and to provide for <br /> <br /> <br />the orderly reallocation and transfer of water allotments as may be required from <br /> <br /> <br />time to time. Further information may be obtained from the project manager, and the <br /> <br /> <br />board of directors itself is always available to the water users should questions <br /> <br /> <br />arise in connection with operation of the Silt Project. <br /> <br />, <br />
