The diversion <br />and headgate are located on the South Platte River, about 4 miles east of Fort Morgan. There are <br />101 irrigation wells under the Lower Platte and Beaver system. The Company wishes to cover the <br />depletions of these wells by constructing a rechargl9 well, a connecting pipeline, and a number of <br />recharge sites. Average annual canal diversions ,are 36,980 acre-feet. The Lower Platte and <br />Beaver Canal Company is a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the <br />State of Colorado. Brent Nation, P.E. has completed the feasibility study.
