.

Accompanying the
documentary is the
revised 12-page viewer's
guide that gives <J.n
overview of the current
Bay-Delta situation and
includes a teacher's lesson
for use in classrooms.
The viewer's guides are
available free of charge
by contacting the
Founqation. Videocassette
copies of the program may
be purchased for $25 plus tax and shipping for the one-
hour version or $20 plus tax and shipping for the 15-

minute version.

The video was funded by the Foundation with additional
support from the CALFED Bay-Delta Program;
California Urban Water Agencies; Central Valley
Agriculture; The Hans and Margaret Doe Charitable
Trust; The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation;
Lehman Brothers; The Nature Conservancy; and the
State Water Contractors.

Learn more about the Delta!
In addition to our video, the Foundation offers a wide
range of materials and opportunities to enhance your
knowledge about the Bay-Delta.

Our 20-page Layperson's Guide to The Delta, revised
in 1998, is an excellent source of information about the
early history, water development, environment and
regulations, costs, legislation and
litigation surrounding the Delta
and its users. Also included is an
expanded section on CALFED.
The easy-to-understand guide
includes pictures, illustrations, maps
and a chronology to aid in learning
the subject
matter. And
because the
San Francisco
Bay is such an integral part of
the Bay-Delta equation, consider
our Layperson's Guide to
San Francisco Bay as well.

A quality complement to the guides is our scaled,
full-color, 36"x24" Delta map. The map gives an
accurate and detailed depiction of the intricate network
of sloughs, canals and islands composing the Delta.
This is a must for those wanting to familiarize themselves
with the geography of the region.

Finally, why not experience the Delta first-hand through
one of our tours? Both our one-day chartered plane
tours and our three-day bus tour give participants a
unique perspective of the Delta, including trips to
pumping plants, fish screens, diversion channels,
agricultural fields, levee projects and salt marshes.
Participants also have the opportunity to be briefed by
local, state and federal authorities on Bay-Delta issues,
ask questions and review background materials. The bus
tour has been scheduled for June 16-18, 1999. Make
your reservations now!

Parties interested in any of our tours or products should
contact the Foundation at 916-444-6240. Or, visit our
website and shop on-line at www.water-ed.org
