We believe your background and experience will be appropriate for our needs on this <br />proje(;t. This letter, therefore, is to set Com our agreement regarding your provision of independent consulting <br />services to the Authority in this connection. As indicated last Thursday. we would like you 10 assist us in overseeing <br />the: construction of the ALP Project and the development of initial operating rules and criteria. Your work will <br />include participation on behalf of the Authority in meetings of the ProjecI Construction Coordinating Committee, <br />the Projecl Operations Committee and other meetings as needed, as well as reviewing project issue notices ("PIN") <br />and other documents prepared by the Bureau of Reclamation. Participation in conference calls will also be required. <br /> <br />The hourly rate for your services will be $70 per hour on an as needed basis (15 to 20 hours per month). The <br />Authority will reimburse you for mileage for use of your vehicle at the current m5-allowed rate (37.5 cents per mile <br />for 2004). We will also reimburse other reasonable expenses such as meals and lodging, upon provision of receipts <br />for these expenses. <br /> <br />Payment for services and reimbursement of expenses will be made monthly. At the end of each month, please <br />submit your invoice with accompanying receipts to me. If we receive your invoice by the 10th of the month, we will <br />process your request and make payment on the 15th of the month; if received by the 25m day oflhe month, we will <br />process payment by the last bwiness day of the month. If this is not satisfactory, please let me know. <br /> <br />I have included a 3-ring binder with some of the information that we have previously received for your convenience <br />and we.
