Federal Emergency Management Agency
Washington, D.C. 20472

AUG 2 0 1998

IN REPLY REFER TO CASE NO. 98-08-383A

Community: City of Colorado Springs, Colorado
Community No.: 080060
Map Panel Affected: 08041C0513 F
Map Effective Date: March 17, 1997

LETTER OF MAP AMENDMENT
218-70-NS

We reviewed a request dated July 6, 1998, for a Letter of Map Amendment. All required information for this request
was received on July 30, 1998. Using the information submitted, the effective National Flood Insurance Program
.(NFIP) map, and the Flood Insurance Study (PIS) report, we determined the structure on the property described below
is in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the flood having a I-percent chance
of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood). The structure, as shown on the effective NFIP map,
remains in the SFHA designated Zone AE.

Property Description: Lot 1, Holli Heights Subdivision, as shown on the Plat recorded as Reception
No. 607892 in Book K-3, Page 4, in the Office of the Recorder, EI Paso County,
Colorado

Street Address: 1326 Holland Park Boulevard

Flooding Source: Douglas Creek South

The elevation of the lowest adjacent grade to a structure (the lowest ground touching the structure) must be at or above
the base flood elevation (BFE) for the structure to be outside the SFHA. Because the elevation of the lowest adjacent
grade to the structure, 6,252.9 feet, is lower than the BFE, 6,254.0 feet, as shown on the profile for Douglas Creek
South contained in the PIS report, the structure is within the SFHA. These elevations are referenced to the National
Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. This determination is based on the flood data presently available.

The enclosed document provides additional information about your options for obtaining a Letter of Map Amendment.
If you have any questions about this letter, please contact Ms. Sally P.
