<br />The Town of D~Beque is constructing a new collection structure in the CoEorado River and
<br />pumplp~p~ng system as part of the Irrigation System Improvements Pro~ec~. The Projec~ is expec~ed
<br />to cost $37D,O~a and p~ovide an improvement to th~ Town's irrigation water delivery system. The
<br />improvemen~s will increase del~very quantity and efficiency and will aEso reduce #he demand on the
<br />Town's dr~nking wate~ supply. The Town is ~ocated app~oximafely 30 miles eas~ of G~and Junction
<br />and serves 480 residents with sewer and wate~. The presen~ irrigation system serves approximately
<br />half of ~he Towns res~dence however the system is a~~en low on pressure and unreliable. !n addi~ion
<br />to increasing system reliab~lity, this p~oject will heip utilize a recently acqui~ed 3.5 cfs surface vuater
<br />righ# on the Colo~ada River. This ~ight combined with the ~.l cfs right from Roan Creek w~ll serve
<br />~he needs of #he 48Q residences, two schools and a cemetery. Constructian of the ptpeline and
<br />pump s~ation ~s expected ~n ear~y 20~7.
