The original restriction was placed on <br />, the operation of the gate before the flip bucket was added to the <br />outlet. The gate was tested this spring by Lee Gerbig of the E&R <br />Center and Jack Langford of the Regional Office and found to operate <br />satisfactorily under the higher reservoir water surface elevation. <br />Both tbe guard gate and the regulating gate should be well lubricated <br />before operation at the bigher head. <br /> <br />These gates can be operated at the higher head while the main outlet <br />works are drained and repairs completed. The Review of Operation and <br />Maintenance examination will be held on October 1,1979, and an <br />~~mination ,of both outlet works will be required at this time. <br /> <br />Don H.
